• We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
• Valid State Issued Photo ID of ALL clients.
• Tattoos for clients age 16 to 18 will need a parent/guardian present with Valid State Issued Photo ID.
• Piercings for clients age 14-18 will need a parent/guardian present with Valid State Issued Photo ID.
• Clients under the age of 18 piercing restrictions: CALL AHEAD FOR RESTRICTIONS: 605-716-5230
• Deposits are required upon appointment booking.
• Deposits are non- refundable and will be used towards the balance of total bill.
• Forms of payment accepted: Cash and all Major Credit Cards.
  We DO NOT accept checks.
• Eating before ANY and ALL appointments is advisable.

How do I setup an appointment?

First step would be to determine which artist you’d like to get tattooed by. Once you’ve selected your tattoo artist, please call or stop in to set up a consultation. The artist will set time aside to hear your ideas and look over any references you may have (ie: photos or sketches). From there, you’ll schedule a tattoo appointment.

Can I bring a friend?

We encourage having a friend with you. Although, too many people can be distracting to you and, particularly, your tattoo artist. Please use discretion. Please be aware some locations do not allow guests under the age of 18.

How do I prepare for a tattoo?

It’s important to be well rested before getting tattooed. Make sure that you have had something to eat and are wearing appropriate clothing for where you are getting tattooed. Feel free to bring a book, iPod or Walkman to listen to. Show up on time for your appointment. Don’t come in drunk or under the influence of any drugs.

Are the artists licensed?

Yes, Convicted Designs Tattoo & Piercing and its artists are all licensed professionals.

Is the ink new for each client?

Yes, all ink is poured into a single use container and disposed of after each tattoo.

Are the needles new?

Each needle is sterile and single use, with an expiration date. We dispose of every needle in a sharps container, just like hospitals do. All non-disposable equipment is sterilized with an autoclave on site.

How old do you have to be to get tattooed?

In the State of South Dakota, you must be 18 years old to get tattooed, and must have a valid photo ID (driver’s license, state issued ID, passports). If you have no ID, no tattoo.

Tattoo Aftercare Information:

1. Keep bandage on for at least 3 – 5 days.

2. Gently remove bandage (if its stuck, get it wet first and then pull off gently).

3. Wash tattoo with cool, soapy water to remove all ointment and bodily fluid.

4. Pat dry with clean towel. Do not re-bandage.

5. Apply thin layer of anti-bacterial ointment (such at Vitamin A&D, Triple Antibiotic, Dermal Heal) for the first 3-7 days as needed, to keep moist.

6. Thereafter, use unscented body lotion. Tattoos always look their best when moisturized. Taking care of your skin means taking care of your tattoo!

Remember:

Your tattoo will probably flake within the first week, do not pick it. Avoid sunlight (tanning included)

No lakes, swimming pools or hot tubs until healing is completed. Some redness and swelling cab be normal. We encourage you to contact us if you have any questions.

Body Piercing Aftercare Information:

Every person is different and everybody heals differently.

1. WASH YOUR HANDS!

2. Remove any dried matter from your piercing and/or jewelry using a solution of non iodine sea salt.

3. Rinse completely with clean water.

Oral Piercing (Lip, Tongue, etc.)

1. Control Swelling with crushed ice.

2. ALWAYS wash your hands first before touching your jewelry!

3. Make sure your jewelry is secure during cleaning

4. Rinse your mouth with diluted 50/50 water & mouthwash after eating and smoking.

5. No oral contact with anyone for 30 days. (Kissing, Oral Sex, etc.)

6. Avoid crunchy foods for the first week and spicy food for two weeks.

7. No foreign objects in your mouth for 30 days (pens, glasses, fingers, etc.)

8. No chewing tobacco.

Body Piercing (any piercing other than oral)

1. ALWAYS wash your hands before touching your jewelry or piercing.

2. DON’T let anyone touch your piercing or jewelry

3. Avoid playing with your piercing/jewelry.

4. Avoid tight clothing that may rub or push on your jewelry.

5. DON’T use rubbing alcohol, peroxide, betadine, or hibiclens.

6. No tanning for 3-4 weeks.

7. No swimming/soaking for 3-4 weeks. (pools, hot tubs, lakes, etc.)
